Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role assists with the development and maintenance of IT applications for Phoebe Philo Ltd, ensuring that the applications are user-friendly, effective, cost-efficient, secure, and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all departments to understand their requirements and implement technology solutions, including:
- Optimize the front-end ecommerce stack with the digital team for resilience, security, and compliance.
- Enhance Airtable solutions supporting the company's design and development processes.
- Work with the finance team to optimize systems for accounting, reporting, payments, VAT, and payroll.
- Ensure logistics systems for carrier management, shipping, and returns are functioning well.
- Assist teams in collecting and tracking sustainability data.
- Ensure system integrations are optimized, resilient, secure, and compliant.
- Manage relationships with partners and contractors for technology delivery and support.
- Provide guidance and training to teams on systems to maximize their usage.
- Maintain operational reliability, security, and compliance of technology services according to industry standards.
- Ensure all technology processes comply with relevant laws, including GDPR.
- Drive collaboration for smooth technology rollouts across teams.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required
- Degree in Computer Science or demonstrable experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in technology roles within fashion, including e-commerce and product support, preferably in luxury fashion.
- Experience in start-up/scale-up environments, with ability to adapt and improve technology stacks during growth stages.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, application development, and suppliers/partners.
- Experience with systems like Shopify, Hubspot, Powerfront, Avalara, Global-E, JOOR, Brightpearl, Airtable, Microsoft Business Central, Concur, SDI, and no/low code platforms like MAKE.
- Ability to lead technology projects to meet business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technology to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership skills and the ability to build trust and credibility.
