Job summary

Qualifications

Are you passionate about leveraging data and insights to drive impactful crisis responses and support community resilience across London?
Do you have the expertise to manage information flow and influence strategic decisions in a dynamic and collaborative environment?

As Information & Insight Manager, you will manage intelligence and information flow across the London Communities Emergency Partnership (LCEP). You will develop systems for sharing knowledge, collect and analyse data to understand London-wide threats and needs, and inform LCEP's strategic direction. In this role, you will identify and address skills gaps in the voluntary sector and lead capability projects. During emergencies, you will ensure rapid information exchange and provide post-emergency reflections. You will be crucial for informing and influencing policymakers, VCS organisations, and statutory bodies through valuable insights.

A day in the life of an Information & Insight Manager will involve:

  1. Leading the creation and execution of the LCEP Insights and Information strategy, ensuring effective data gathering and distribution.
  2. Building and maintaining connections across the voluntary and community sector to facilitate the sharing of information and insights.
  3. Managing rapid information flows and providing technical advice during emergencies to support informed decision-making.
  4. Developing and refining Monitoring and Evaluation systems to track and report on LCEP’s impact, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

To be a successful Information & Insight Manager, you’ll need:

  • Degree, training, or experience in Information Management, Geography, Social Science, Information Analysis, or Disaster Response.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and presenting data from various sources, with knowledge of data visualisation tools.
  • An understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) processes, including impact monitoring and reporting.
  • A strong ability to build productive relationships, work independently, prioritise tasks, and contribute effectively as a team player.
