Job summary

VIQU Limited, partnering with an NHS client, seeks an Information Governance Assurance Officer to strengthen its IG and Data Protection function in Norfolk.

The role focuses on DSPT compliance, DPIAs, data breach investigations, governance reporting and adherence to NHS and UK data protection legislation, with a 6-month rolling contract.

You will work with clinical, operational and digital teams to deliver assurance activities and policy development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Information Governance, Data Protection or Compliance in NHS or regulated setting.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK data protection laws and Caldicott principles.
• Proven DSPT compliance delivery and evidence.
• Ability to produce senior-level governance reports.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IG assurance activities to support DSPT, GDPR, and NHS standards.
• Conduct DPIAs and advise on privacy and information risk.
• Manage IG audits, reviews, confidentiality audits, and assurance programmes.
• Investigate governance incidents, data breaches and data subject requests.
• Produce governance and risk reports for senior stakeholders.
• Support IG policies, data sharing agreements and information asset registers.
