Job summary

Spinwell is recruiting for an Information Governance Assurance Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector in Norwich.

Two posts are available on a fixed-term contract to 31 March 2027. The role supports DSPT, CQC assurance, data protection and governance across the Trust, with DBS clearance required. You will work with Digital Health staff and senior managers, producing reports and supporting risk-based IG practices aligned with PRIDE values.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Formal IG and DP qualification or significant experience.
• Evidence of continuing education and professional development.
• Significant experience of data handling, manipulation and analysis related to governance metrics.
• Experience of working with sensitive/confidential information.
• Excellent information management skills, including Excel and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist and deputise for the IG Assurance Manager with DSPT, CQC, and IG assurance across the Trust.
• Advocate a risk-based IG culture and ensure compliance with legislation and policy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare and maintain IG assurance context.
• Support governance responsibilities and guide staff to meet high IG standards.
• Produce clear reports for Caldicott and IG Committees and Hospital Board when required.
• Communicate with NHSE DS Toolkit team and divisional governance managers.
• Promote Spinwell’s PRIDE values in daily practice and foster an inclusive culture.
