Job summary

Interweave is seeking an Information Governance Advisor to provide expert guidance on data protection and confidentiality within the NHS framework. You will support DPIAs, information-sharing arrangements, and assurance requirements while collaborating with NHS organisations, local authorities, and clinical teams.

This role focuses on governance, compliance and public trust, enabling safe information sharing and improving patient care across Hull and the surrounding region.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent in experience.
• Broad understanding of policy, legislation and their application to information governance.
• Ability to work with sensitive information and approach issues diplomatically.

Responsibilities

• Provide information governance expertise and recommendations for local implementation.
• Develop, implement and review information governance policies in line with NHS guidelines.
• Act as Privacy Officer and monitor access to information systems.
• Lead audits and suggest remedial actions to improve compliance.
• Coordinate information governance programmes and report findings to governance committees.
• Support staff and patients with specialist information governance advice and training.
