Job summary

CME Group, based in Belfast, invites an Information Governance intern to gain exposure across Records, Confidentiality, Privacy, eDiscovery and Incident Management. You will work closely with the IG team on assessments spanning policy updates, data migrations and access controls, while developing training materials and SOPs.

The role emphasizes collaboration across levels, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to data governance at a leading derivatives marketplace.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a year in industry in 2026-7.
• Strong interest in information governance, privacy and data management.
• Demonstrates initiative, ability to learn with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluating data management capabilities to ensure policy compliance.
• Document vulnerabilities and propose remediation solutions.
• Support IG initiatives through data collection, analysis and documentation.
• Contribute to projects on information governance and data protection.
• Assist in updating policies, guidelines and SOPs.
• Learn operational processes and support the IG team.
• Assist with data analysis and updating inventories.
• Participate in quality assurance activities for IG processes.
• Develop awareness and training materials for the organization.
