Job summary

SMBC Group EMEA is seeking an Information Governance Analyst (Assistant Vice President) to join the EMEA Data Office. The role focuses on shaping governance across records management, data retention, data quality and information risk, collaborating with stakeholders to embed standards.

You will identify information assets, manage lifecycle controls, and produce governance reporting for committees, while working within a growing function offering hybrid work, development opportunities, and impact

Qualifications

• Experience operating Information Governance, Data Governance or Records Management frameworks.
• Strong understanding of information lifecycle management, records management and data quality principles.
• Proven ability to engage, influence and educate stakeholders across a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining visibility of information assets and supporting the development of information inventories and catalogues.
• Assessing compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements, and tracking remediation activities.
• Supporting governance initiatives relating to records management, data retention, information ownership and accountability.
• Producing management information, governance reporting and materials for committees, forums and projects.
• Working with stakeholders across the business to promote awareness and adoption of Information Governance standards and best practices.
• Supporting the continued development and maturity of the Information Governance framework across SMBC EMEA.
