Job summary

SMBC Group in London seeks an Operations Data Governance Lead to drive the governance framework for reports and business services within the EMEA Data Office. You will collaborate with stakeholders across operations, compliance and technology to ensure data quality, lineage and policy adoption across prioritized use cases.

The role requires strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata and data management tools, plus hands-on leadership of a small analytics team.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, profiling, analysis, and data management tools.
• Analytically minded with problem solving and ability to communicate workable solutions.
• Understanding of data governance practices and enterprise-wide thinking.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Operations and stakeholders to implement the SMBC Data Governance Framework across prioritized Reports and Business Services.
• Lead a team of Analysts to implement governance across prioritized Use Cases.
• Monitor data requirements changes and ensure change/release management for data domains.
• Support development and implementation of data standards and adoption requirements for EMEA Data.
• Collaborate with compliance, technology and business groups to define and communicate data requirements.
