Job summary

Central East Integrated Care Board is seeking an Information & Cyber Security Officer to safeguard patient and organisational data in line with NHS requirements. You will train, audit, and drive risk assessments to foster a culture of data security across the organisation.

Working under the IG Senior Manager, you will coordinate day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and contribute to service improvements through data-driven decisions and governance reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent experience in health, care, public services, management, or related field.
• Proven governance, compliance and financial procedures knowledge in public/healthcare.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to plan and multi-task.
• Ability to analyse data and use evidence to inform decisions.
• Experience with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Experience with Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and information security risk.
• Experience with Information Asset Registers and data flow mapping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of defined operational activities, projects or service functions within procedures and standards.
• Provide practical and administrative leadership for specific projects or workstreams; track progress.
• Supervise and support staff under supervision of IG Senior Manager; ensure clear roles and communication.
• Contribute to quality and continuous improvement using data, feedback and audits.
• Monitor performance measures and produce information for governance/assurance purposes.
• Manage allocated resources and budgets within delegated limits per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the ICB and system partners for joined-up delivery.
