Job summary

Oxford Immunocore is seeking a Scientist - Infectious Diseases to contribute to cross-functional efforts applying ImmTAX platform and other modalities to develop therapies for chronic infections including HIV, HBV and EBV-associated diseases.

You will plan, design and execute experiments in molecular and cellular biology, with guidance from a manager, ensuring project goals are met within time and budget constraints; the role involves presenting results at internal meetings and collaborating

Qualifications

PhD in molecular biology / immunology / virology or related field; 0–2 years related experience.
BSc or MSc with significant bench-based work experience may be considered.
Hands-on experience with molecular techniques and cell culture; able to work in a containment level 3 facility.

Responsibilities

Plan, design and execute experiments to advance the Company pipeline within time and budget constraints.
Analyse data, interpret results and make recommendations; present at internal meetings.
Collaborate across Research and other departments and engage with external scientific meetings.
