Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (Band 6) to join our specialist team. You will work across hospital and community services providing expert advice on infection prevention, surveillance and outbreak management to support safe patient care.

You will collaborate with clinical teams, microbiology and estates, deliver education, contribute to audits and policy development, and promote evidence-based practice across the Trust.

Qualifications

• CPD portfolio evidence required.
• Participation in audit/surveillance.
• Leadership in the management of change.
• UK registration and infection control qualifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide infection prevention and control advice to staff and patients.
• Support safe management of infection risks and outbreaks.
• Deliver education, and assist with audits and policy development.
