Job summary

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking a proactive Business Engagement Officer to connect students with employers and the world of work. You’ll be the link between the college, students and local employers, developing opportunities and ensuring safeguarding compliance.

You’ll be confident, well-organised and enjoy building relationships. The role offers a supportive team, training, and career development across two campuses in Warrington and Winsford.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience working with customers, businesses or external organisations.
• Ability to organise yourself and manage competing priorities.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build great relationships with businesses and employers.
• Identify opportunities for students including placements, work experience, visits and live projects.
• Manage your own caseload and match opportunities to students.
• Keep on top of workload, deadlines and targets.
• Attend networking events and meet new people.
• Use social media to connect with employers.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to reflect employer needs.
• Keep records up to date using placement software.
• Showcase the college and opportunities created for students.
• Ensure placements are safe and meet safeguarding requirements.
