Purpose of the Role
As a permanent Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician, you will join our team at the Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. Your role will support the Engineering department in maintaining and repairing electrical/control equipment within the production unit, while adhering to all Health and Safety policies.
Main Responsibilities
You will inspect structures and equipment, report defects, perform legislative checks, and keep records. Following risk assessments and procedures, you will supervise scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs. You will maintain and assemble electrical systems, troubleshoot production breakdowns, modify plant equipment, calibrate instrumentation, and apply logical problem-solving to identify root causes and resolve issues. You will work with equipment such as pedestal drills, grinders, welding tools, and portable powered hand tools, and assist with mechanical repairs across the business when needed.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or possess a Level 3 (or higher) technical qualification in the field. You should be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and have an understanding of PLC and controlled equipment.
