As a permanent Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician, you will join our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant team. Your role will support the Engineering department in maintaining and repairing electrical/control equipment within the production unit, adhering to all Health and Safety policies.
You will examine structures and equipment, report defects, perform legislative checks, and keep records. Following risk assessments and procedures, you will supervise scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs. Your duties include maintaining electrical equipment, assembling electrical systems, troubleshooting production breakdowns, modifying plant, calibrating instrumentation, and applying logical problem-solving to identify and rectify issues. You will work with equipment such as pedestal drills, grinders, welding tools, and portable hand tools, and assist with mechanical repairs when needed.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or hold a Level 3 (or higher) technical qualification in the field. You should be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and have an understanding of PLC and controlled equipment.
