Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an Industrial Software Engineer in Scunthorpe. The role focuses on developing and supporting production-critical applications using C# and SQL within a complex industrial manufacturing setting.

You will work on system integrations, data management, and modernization projects, with hybrid work after probation and a strong emphasis on reliability and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with C# development.
• Solid SQL knowledge and database experience.
• Experience integrating complex systems and data flows.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems is a plus.
• Python and/or PHP experience is beneficial.

Industrial Software Engineer
Scunthorpe - 3 Days Onsite and 2 Days Remote Following Probation
40,000 - 45,000 + Hybrid Working + Benefits

Are you a Software Engineer with strong C# and SQL skills looking to develop and support production-critical applications within a complex industrial manufacturing environment?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering team responsible for developing and supporting systems that underpin large-scale manufacturing operations. Working within a diverse operational technology environment, you will be involved in application development, database management, system integration and operational support for business-critical platforms.

You will play a key role in improving system reliability, data integrity and overall performance while contributing to the ongoing modernisation of legacy platforms. This is a varied position offering exposure to industrial systems, data platforms, process control technologies and business-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience with C# development and SQL databases, alongside a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or process-based environment would be advantageous. A basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems would also be beneficial, although direct PLC programming experience is not essential.
