Job summary

Veolia Hull ISS in Hull is seeking a capable operative to join a large team of operators and tanker drivers, covering the East Yorkshire/Humberside area. You’ll work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with travel away from home as required; accommodation and meal allowance are provided.

Training is given in Breathing Apparatus, Safety Awareness, Chemical Awareness, RAMS, First Aid and Confined Space Entry, with ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• CCNSG Safety Passport required.
• Must be prepared to travel locally to the main depot and stay away from home.

Responsibilities

• Working in confined spaces for both long and short periods depending on the job.
• Prepping surfaces before high pressure jetting cleaning.
• Cleaning ERF sites during shutdowns which can last up to 6 weeks.

Hours: 40 Hours (Monday - Friday 07:30 - 16:00)

Location: Veolia Hull ISS, Hull, HU3 4TG plus working away from home when required (accommodation and meal allowance provided)

Must be prepared to work away from home for extended periods of time and to work flexible hours, evenings, nights and weekends.

In this role, we’ll provide you with training in Breathing Apparatus, Safety Awareness, Chemical Awareness, Understanding RAMS, First Aid and Confined Space Entry (if applicable).

What will you be doing:

You will work within a large team of 20+ operators and 3 tanker drivers, covering the East Yorkshire/Humberside area carrying out work on customer sites, you will also be expected to travel and stay away from home.

• Working in confined spaces for both long and short periods of time depending on the type of work
• Prepping surfaces before performing high pressure jetting cleaning
• Cleaning our ERF sites during shutdowns which can take up to 6 weeks at a time

What are we looking for?

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• CCNSG Safety Passport
• Must be prepared to travel locally to the main depot and be prepared to stay away from home.

Desirable:

• City and Guilds High-Risk Confined Space training
• City and Guilds High-Pressure Water Jetting training with modules (Surface Preparation, tubes & bundles and drain cleaning)
