Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wash Operative in Bromley to operate pressure washers, handle degreasers and maintain a clean, safe wash area for vehicles. You’ll follow health and safety procedures, complete logs, and travel between local depots as required.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary up to £32,926 depending on experience and a strong benefits package including pension, annual leave and health resources. We value safety, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HGV Licence
• UK Full driving licence (Car)
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems and having
• Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks are all key attributes.
• Ability to work alone
• Training/experience for use of pressure washers.

Responsibilities

• Operate pressure washer machinery safely and effectively to clean a variety of vehicles.
• Use degreasers, chemicals whilst following health and safety risk assessments and method statements.
• Maintain an established schedule as requested and provide feedback to improve schedule efficiency.
• Clean up debris and other waste materials from area being washed.
• Other manual duties as directed.
• Keep tools and equipment in good repair.
• Travel between local depots to carry out pressure washing as required.
• Clean and maintain wash areas to ensure safe operation at all times.
• Follow health and safety PPE requirements at all times.
• Complete vehicle washing log.

Desirable:

• Forklift licence (Counterbalance)
• Leadership experience
• Qualification issued by the Water Jetting Association (WJA)
