JAM Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting an Industrial Refrigeration / Chiller Engineer to join a Midlands-based team. The role focuses on maintaining commercial and industrial cooling plants across client sites, including fault finding and commissioning, with training provided.

The position offers 8:30am–5:00pm hours, 1.5x overtime and door-to-door travel, covering the East/Midlands regions and surrounding counties. A relevant F-Gas certificate and full UK driving licence are required.

• Cover East and West Midlands, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire on a mobile basis.

Job description

This permanent Industrial Refrigeration / Chiller Engineer position covers the East Midlands, suiting candidates based near Nottingham, Derby, Leicester or the central region. Working for RGB on a global manufacturer's behalf, the successful engineer maintains commercial and industrial cooling plant, including chillers, across client sites. Duties involve fault finding, planned maintenance, repairs and commissioning. Applicants should hold relevant refrigeration qualifications, F-Gas certification and proven experience with large-scale systems. The role operates standard weekday hours with overtime paid at 1.5x, plus door-to-door travel. Pay ranges from £22 to £24 per hour, reflecting skill level and background.

Due to successful project wins and expansion, they are now looking to recruit an Industrial Refrigeration / Chiller Engineer to join their established team in the Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a business that operates on a global scale, delivering high-quality solutions across multiple sectors.

Industrial Refrigeration / Chiller Engineer Up to £24 per hour + Door-to-Door Travel (1.5x Overtime)

Ideal Candidate Location

Nottingham, Derby, Leicester or Central Midlands

The Role

You will be part of a dedicated commercial and industrial refrigeration division, supporting key clients within the food production and distribution sectors. Day-to-day, you will be working across fully operational production environments, focusing on:

• Industrial refrigeration systems
• Glycol chillers
• Service, maintenance, and fault finding
• Supporting large-scale plant operations
• Ammonia project and service works
• with additional training provided

The business is also keen to support career progression and is open to experienced commercial refrigeration engineers looking to move into industrial. You will be covering East and West Midlands, Lincolnshire, and Yorkshire on a mobile basis.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven refrigeration service and maintenance experience
• F-Gas Certification (CandG 2079)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A willingness to develop within industrial refrigeration (if not already experienced)

Salary and Benefits Package

• £24 per hour (based on a 40-hour week)
• Door-to-door travel all paid at 1.5x overtime rate
