Job summary

Thales seeks an entry-level Industrial Process Engineering Technician to support shopfloor activities in Templecombe. You will work with Industrial Process Engineers to address production challenges and bring fresh perspectives to technical issues, with development opportunities across Thales’ IPE team.

The role focuses on manufacturing techniques across electrical/electronic, mechanical, and test activities, offering training and progression while based on the shopfloor and aligned with the

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments, ideally electrical/electronic or mechanical assembly or production test.
• Awareness of continuous improvement methodologies and manufacturing techniques.
• Understanding of routings, BOMs, concessions and change requests.

Responsibilities

• Be a key point of contact on the shopfloor, resolving day-to-day manufacturing issues and non-conformances.
• Organise and coordinate Material Review Boards (MRBs) across functions.
• Identify improvements to processes, methods and documentation to increase efficiency and quality.
• Support survey, repair and refurbishment activities for returned items.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and risk reduction within manufacturing.
