Job summary

Thales in Glasgow is seeking an Industrial Process Engineer to optimise supplier PCB and electrical cable harness manufacturing. The role focuses on improving processes, quality and reliability across the supply chain.

You will audit suppliers, lead APQP/PPAP activities, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis while supporting new product introductions and supplier readiness. Travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, PCB, cable harness or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PCB and cable manufacturing suppliers to optimise production processes and quality performance.
• Conduct supplier audits, process assessments and First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Drive continuous improvement through process data analysis and corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions and supplier readiness activities.
• Lead APQP activities and manage PPAP submissions to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
• Build strong supplier relationships and report performance, risks and improvement plans.

Industrial Process Engineer – Supply Chain – Electrical

Location: Glasgow (with regular supplier travel)

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and improving supplier manufacturing processes across PCB and electrical cable harness production.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with suppliers, engineering teams, procurement and quality specialists to ensure high standards of quality, reliability and process excellence throughout our supply chain.

What you'll be doing

• Partnering with PCB and cable manufacturing suppliers to optimise production processes and quality performance.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required.
