Job summary

Thales Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to improve supplier manufacturing processes across PCB and electrical harness production. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality, reliability and excellence in the supply chain.

The role involves audits, FAI, data-driven improvements, and leading APQP/PPAP activities, with regular supplier travel. A degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, PCB, cable harness or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards and supplier development.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PCB and cable manufacturing suppliers to optimise production processes and quality performance.
• Conduct supplier audits, process assessments and First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions and supplier readiness activities.
• Lead APQP activities and manage PPAP submissions to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
• Build strong supplier relationships and report on performance, risks and improvement plans.
