Job summary

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a market-leading heavy plant machinery company based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation, installing and commissioning large-scale industrial plant and machinery across asphalt, concrete and crushing/screening industries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience installing and commissioning large industrial plant.
• Strong mechanical fitting or electrical installation background.
• Reading engineering drawings, schematics and P&IDs, three-phase systems, CANbus and motor controls.
• Desirable: Asphalt, quarrying, cement or similar heavy plant experience; PLC programming (Siemens or Allen-Bradley) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission asphalt plants and associated equipment.
• Carry out pre-commissioning checks, testing and functional proving.
• Fault-find on large industrial assemblies and control systems.
• Install mechanical components, conveyors, dryers, burners and mixers.
• Install and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Wire and test three-phase systems, control panels and motor circuits.
• Produce commissioning reports, documentation, risk assessments and method statements.
• Train customers on operation, maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.

Education

Time-served Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC

Full UK driving licence
