Job summary

Expert Employment Limited is seeking an Installation and Commissioning Mechanical Service Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation specialising in industrial machinery and automated production systems. The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing in production and packaging environments.

You will be time-served with HNC/HND level, capable of fault finding and troubleshooting, and able to work independently while communicating effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial machinery and maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across mechanical systems.
• Experience with installation or commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, Europe and beyond.
• Experience in food and beverage production or packaging machinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and overhaul industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and equipment malfunctions.
• Install machine upgrades, change parts and modifications.
• Conduct equipment inspections and spare parts assessments.
• Provide technical support and operational training to customers.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation.
• Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the UK and internationally.
