Northrop Grumman UK offers a 12-month Industrial Placement as a Systems Engineer in New Malden, London. Starting September 2027, you will contribute to Platform Management Systems for the UK’s submarine fleet, gaining hands-on experience within an Integrated Systems team and a dedicated mentor network.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering activities from requirements to acceptance, including verification and validation.
• Ability to estimate scope and effort for systems engineering activities.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to systems engineering activities from requirements through to acceptance, including verification and validation.
• Help produce project systems engineering deliverables and support process improvements.
• Complete assigned activities in line with plans, processes and procedures.
• Help estimate scope and effort for systems engineering activities.
• Monitor tasks, timescales and budgets against schedules.
• Support project reviews including design, risk and change-impact reviews.
• Contribute to defect, fault and issue management and to safety, security and regulatory compliance.
