Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is offering an Industrial Placement Project Manager in Cheltenham. This 12-month programme starts September 2027 with a salary of £25,000 and full-time hours.

You will gain practical project management experience supporting the delivery of technology programmes with national significance, learning scheduling, budgeting and governance while working with experienced project managers. Security checks are required (SC); UK citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a relevant degree
• A genuine interest in project management
• Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning
• Understanding of the project lifecycle and importance of meeting deadlines
• Ability to approach problems and develop innovative solutions
• Knowledge of business and financial concepts, tools and processes

Responsibilities

• Support project scheduling, cost budgeting and estimating
• Coordinate resources while learning to use project management tools
• Maintain accurate project documentation and governance materials
• Assist with identifying, recording and monitoring project risks
• Track project KPIs and metrics
• Support timely project reporting in line with established business rhythms
• Organise stakeholder communications to ensure project information is shared effectively
• Contribute to project management support assignments and a group project within the Industrial Placement Programme
