Job summary

Evolito Ltd, based in Oxfordshire, offers a 12-month Software Engineering Industrial Placement. You’ll work on live customer projects from day one, contributing to embedded software, requirements, design, testing, and verification within a team at the forefront of electric aviation.

You’ll gain hands-on aerospace software experience, mentoring, and industry exposure as part of a fast-growing private technology company in the UK.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related embedded software content; must be enrolled in a degree program.
• Must complete an industrial placement year as part of the course.
• Good knowledge of C and/or Python required.
• Strong problem-solving with a logical, structured approach.
• Self-motivated, collaborative and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to embedded software development for Evolito motor controllers.
• Write software requirements and design documentation for safety-critical software.
• Create and execute test cases using hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
• Peer review software artefacts and support the project team.
• Gain experience with RTCA DO-178C Design Assurance Level A processes.

Whatyou’lldo

As a member of our 12-month Software Engineering Industrial Placement Programme, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on live customer projects from day one.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the development and verification of embedded software for Evolito motor controller products

• Write software requirements and produce design documentation and code for safety-critical software

• Write and execute test cases using hardware-in-the-loop test platforms

• Peer review software development artefacts and support the wider project team

• Gain experience of aerospace software processes aligned with RTCA DO-178C Design Assurance Level A

• Receive mentoring and support throughout the programme
