Job summary

Arup invites a proactive Industrial placement student to join the Belfast Energy, Water & Resources team for a 10–12 month placement. You will support the team across a broad range of tasks and assist with project management activities, including contract administration, costing, and project registers.

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is preferred; we also welcome applicants with backgrounds in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Earth Sciences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with AutoCAD and GIS would be an advantage.

Our Belfast Energy, Water & Resources team is at the heart of Northern Ireland's infrastructure landscape. Our current focus spans clean water supply, wastewater networks and treatment, and renewable energy — and we are actively growing our energy practice across the region.

NI Water is a key client of Arup and we have more than 20 ongoing projects including the major Killyhevlin WTW upgrade.

On this 10–12 month Industrial placement, you will:

Is this role right for you?

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
