Job summary

ERM is seeking an Industrial Permitting Consultant to contribute to a growing team. The role is UK-focused with potential expansion to Europe and Northern Europe, supporting data centre and major clients while navigating UK permitting regimes and, where relevant, ETS considerations.

The candidate should have a degree in a relevant science or environmental discipline and experience in consulting, government, or industry. The role emphasizes collaboration with regulators and strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant science or environmental discipline.
• Experience in either a consulting environment, the regulatory sector or from industry.

Responsibilities

• Support technical delivery of industrial environmental permitting projects.
• Have working knowledge of environmental impact assessment disciplines relevant to permitting.
• Develop client proposals and build client relationships and internal/external networks.
• Ensure client satisfaction through project communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with regulators to seek favourable client outcomes.
