Job summary

Miller's Vanguard is seeking a hands-on technician for our Mossfield Mill workshop to strip and clean bakery and catering equipment. You will work both independently and with a strong team to meet targets while maintaining top quality, delivering reliable assets to major UK supermarket chains.

You will receive training at our City & Guilds accredited Training Academy and have opportunities for development through mentoring from current workshop staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning chemicals and COSHH.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Positive and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate high pressure jet-wash and hand tools to clean machinery and parts.
• Follow PPE guidelines.
• Follow chemical handling guidelines.
• Operate overhead hoists.
• Sling and move items around the cleaning area.
• Complete tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with workshop team to maximize efficiency.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Workshop Manager.

Miller's Vanguard, a Specialist Maintenance Provider for Bakery, Catering and Supermarket Access Equipment are looking for an experienced technician to join their workshop-based team at Mossfield Mill. The purpose of the role is primarily the stripping of Bakery & Catering equipment. Whilst working individually for the most part, the successful candidate will also be part of a strong team, working together to meet targets and maintain quality of the highest standard, providing reliable assets to some of the UK’s leading supermarkets.

Responsibilities

• Using high pressure Jet-Washing machinery and hand cleaning tools to clean machinery and parts.
• Follow company guidelines on the correct use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Follow company guidelines on the use of Chemicals.
• Operation of overhead hoists.
• Slinging and lifting items to be moved around the cleaning area.
• Complete tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate effectively with the workshop team to maximize efficiency.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by the Workshop Manager.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Prior experience with cleaning chemicals and COSHH.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A positive and proactive attitude.
