Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients include Defence, large multinational industrial entities, and the UK Government.

The role involves travel across UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:

• Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, including switching, routing, security, and wireless technologies. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance.
• Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems, ensuring stability and security. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• Patch Management: Oversee patch processes to keep systems secure and up-to-date. Address vulnerabilities proactively.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement data backup solutions.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams to understand IT needs and document configurations and procedures.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to track performance and generate reports.
• User Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users.

About You: Candidates should have experience managing systems underpinning critical infrastructure, with:

• At least 5 years’ practical experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks.
• Experience with network security protocols.
• CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification.

Preferred/Additional Skills:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
• SOC, SIEM, SNMP experience.
• Interest in IoT/OT/ICS.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
