Job summary

Imerys in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our engineering team. You will maintain, repair and improve a range of mechanical plant and equipment across site operations, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to equipment failures.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, full UK driving licence, and experience in heavy industrial environments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience in manufacturing, processing, quarrying or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repair.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve a range of mechanical systems and plant equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment failures.
• Support shutdown activities, equipment installations and CI initiatives.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
