Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a heavy industrial setting in Dudley. The role covers reactive and preventative maintenance on steel processing machinery, with a shift pattern and overtime opportunities. Training and progression are highlighted, along with a healthcare scheme.

You will work with Electrical Maintenance Engineers and liaise across departments to ensure smooth factory operations, in a 3-shift cycle with late-night allowances.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician or Engineer.
• Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to commute to Dudley factory.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on plant/steel processing machinery.
• Service and repair, plus diagnose faults and troubleshoot systems.
• Coordinate across departments to keep the factory running smoothly.
• Follow the 3-shift pattern with corresponding shift allowances.
• Leverage overtime to support production when required.
