Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced site leader to drive construction and installation operations across industrial and logistical projects. The role focuses on promoting HSEQ standards, coordinating resources, and ensuring work quality aligns with ERs and British Standards.

You will lead safety culture, prepare RAMS, manage subcontractor activities and maintain key safety and progress documentation on site.

Qualifications

• Providing site-based leadership for construction and installation operations; promoting Health & Safety management, construction best practice and management of site construction resources in close liaison with the Project Manager.
• Lead / Promote high standards of HSEQ on your project and monitor / ensure company policies and procedures are in place in accordance with the CPS and statutory requirements. Act when required.
• Ensure that the quality of work is to the specified standards set out in the ER’s / British Standards and that the site team are closely monitoring the quality of work to minimise defects at PC.
• Ensure that all new employees, including sub-contract employees, are instructed on STRABAG safety, environmental and quality requirements, including project requirements.
• Maintain and regularly update the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and associated Management Plans. Lead, promote and empower the STRABAG behavioural safety culture with Staff, Supply Chain and Client.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-based leadership for construction and installation operations to deliver projects safely, on time and to spec.
• Promote and monitor Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards and ensure compliance with CPS and statutory requirements.
• Ensure quality meets ERs and British Standards; manage defects and PC snags within defined timescales.
• Instruct all employees on STRABAG safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Maintain the Construction Phase H&S Plan and related management plans; foster STRABAG behavioural safety culture with staff and supply chain.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure a safe system of work, including RAMS and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly meeting cadence and progress reviews; monitor programme progress.

Education

HNC or Degree in Building Studies or Civil Engineering
