Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking a seasoned construction professional to lead on large-scale site operations across the UK. The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely delivery of complex projects, with responsibilities spanning planning, supervision, and liaison with the client and design teams.

You will ensure safe systems of work, promote STRABAG safety culture, and manage on-site resources, including subcontractors, to meet stringent program targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in large construction / civil engineering projects.
• Ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
• Ability and confidence to communicate and present to Top Level Management, Senior level clients and public.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-based leadership for all or section of construction and installation operations, promoting Health & Safety management and site resources in liaison with the Project Manager.
• Lead and promote high standards of HSEQ and ensure policies and procedures are in place in accordance with CPS and statutory requirements.
• Ensure quality of work meets ERs / British Standards, monitor defects and close out PC snags within 2 weeks.
• Instruct new employees and sub-contractors on STRABAG safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Maintain and update the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and other Management Plans; promote behavioural safety culture.
