Job summary

Workforce Staffing is currently recruiting an Installation Electrician for a manufacturing site in the United Kingdom. The role offers a £46,000 per annum salary, a 40-hour working week, and a four-day pattern with a long weekend.

The successful candidate will be a time-served electrician with strong BS 7671 knowledge and experience in industrial installations, inspection and commissioning, working closely with engineering, maintenance and production teams to deliver projects safely and

Qualifications

• Time-served electrician or completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Inspection and Testing qualification, City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 as specified for the role.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of installations, distribution and termination.
• Good understanding of BS 7671 and safety legislation.
• Asbestos Awareness training.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive health and safety approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify and commission industrial electrical systems and control panels.
• Conduct inspection and testing per BS 7671 and IET regulations.
• Carry out fixed-wire and RCD testing; maintain records.
• Inspect and upgrade site lighting and emergency lighting.
• Install electrical containment systems and cable termination.
• Support machinery installation, relocation and commissioning.
• Coordinate external contractors and oversee shutdowns.
• Maintain test certificates, inspection reports and as-built docs.
• Identify defects and safety improvements; implement corrective actions.
• Work with engineering and production teams to minimise disruption.
