Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead the Industrial Engineering team in a high-mix electromechanical manufacturing environment. You will drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence to boost productivity and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering.
• Proven Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience leading Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs.
• Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Improve productivity, labour efficiency, quality and throughput.
• Develop labour standards, time studies and capacity planning models.
• Optimise manufacturing processes, factory layouts and material flow.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DFM).
• Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, productivity and utilisation.
• Lead value stream mapping and process improvement projects.
• Support automation, process optimisation and capital investment projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality teams.

Are you an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager with a passion for Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and operational excellence?

We are seeking a talented engineering leader to manage and develop an Industrial Engineering team within a highly successful electromechanical manufacturing business. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in driving productivity, improving manufacturing performance and supporting future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Improve productivity, labour efficiency, quality and throughput
• Develop labour standards, time studies and capacity planning models
• Optimise manufacturing processes, factory layouts and material flow
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
• Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, productivity and utilisation
• Lead value stream mapping and process improvement projects
• Support automation, process optimisation and capital investment projects

About You

• Degree qualified in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
• Previous experience leading Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering teams
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
• Experience within low to medium volume, high-mix manufacturing
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, labour standards and production processes
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
• Excellent analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs

Desirable

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above
• Experience within electromechanical, automotive, robotics, automation or precision engineering sectors
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and automation technologies
• Experience delivering capital investment and productivity improvement projects
