Job summary

Team Jobs - Engineering in Poole, Dorset is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead an established team and drive improvements in productivity, labour efficiency, capacity and manufacturing flow. This hands-on leadership role focuses on how products are made and how production performs.

You’ll collaborate with Operations, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to deliver improvements in quality, cost and delivery, and support new product introductions and equipment into production.

Qualifications

• Experience leading industrial or manufacturing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Lean, assembly operations and throughput improvement.
• Experience in automotive, drive systems or related mechanical products.

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering Manager

Lead manufacturing improvement. Develop a team. Make a measurable impact on the factory floor.

We’re looking for an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead an established function and improve productivity, labour efficiency, capacity and manufacturing flow. This is a hands‑on manufacturing leadership role focused on how products are made and how production performs. It is not a design engineering management position.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to deliver improvements in quality, cost and delivery. You’ll also support the introduction of new products and equipment into production.

What you’ll do as Industrial Engineering Manager

• Lead, coach and develop the Industrial Engineering team.
• Use manufacturing data, work measurement and labour standards to identify improvement opportunities.
• Improve factory layouts, material flow, line balance and capacity planning.

What you’ll bring as Industrial Engineering Manager

• Experience leading industrial or manufacturing engineering teams in a low to medium volume, high mix environment.
• A strong understanding of assembly operations, manufacturing processes and Lean improvement.
• Experience in automotive, drive systems or related mechanical or electromechanical products.
• The ability to turn analysis into practical improvements and engage people across a business.
• Knowledge of manufacturing simulation software or digital factory modelling would be an advantage.
• A dregree level or quivalent in an engineerring or manufacturing discipline
