Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Bournemouth, Dorset, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead lean initiatives and drive continuous improvement across electromechanical manufacturing. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will manage an Industrial Engineering team, develop labour standards, and optimise processes, layouts and capacity planning to improve OEE and throughput.

Experience in low to medium volume, high-mix production and CAD/SolidWorks, ERP/MRP systems is preferred;

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Experience leading Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience in low to medium volume, high-mix manufacturing.
• Strong capacity planning, labour standards and production processes.
• CAD experience, SolidWorks.
• Analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Support automation, process optimisation and capital investment projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality teams.

We are seeking a talented engineering leader to manage and develop an Industrial Engineering team within a highly successful electromechanical manufacturing business.Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in driving productivity, improving manufacturing performance and supporting future growth.

About You

• Experience within low to medium volume, high-mix manufacturing
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, labour standards and production processes
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks
• Excellent analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs

Desirable

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above
• Experience within electromechanical, automotive, robotics, automation or precision engineering sectors
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and automation technologies
• Experience delivering capital investment and productivity improvement projects
