Job summary

Gordon Murray Automotive is seeking an Industrial Engineer - Operations to own industrial performance across Structures, Paint, Assembly and End of Line. You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure plans meet Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.

You will manage Hours Per Car (HPC), Cost Per Unit (CPU), standard labour content, capacity and headcount, and drive improvements across the value stream using data-led analysis and robust manufacturing

Qualifications

• Strong automotive manufacturing experience in a consultancy or OEM context.
• Demonstrated industrial engineering experience across HPC, CPU, capacity and productivity.
• Experience with manufacturing cost analysis and ROI impact.
• Experience in product lifecycle, launch and ramp-up.
• FMEA, Control Plans, Lean, standardised work and Poka Yoke.
• Analytical skills: variance analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Govern end-to-end industrial engineering performance across value streams.
• Own HPC and standard labour content; manage headcount, capacity and line balance.
• Analyze CPU, costs and identify quantified reduction opportunities.
• Develop glidepaths for performance targets with actions and owners.
• Translate volumes into labour, capacity and shift requirements.
• Perform times, takt, line balancing and capacity analyses.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive measurable productivity improvements.
• Develop performance reporting and provide data-led recommendations.
