Job summary

Altera Recruitment Group is supporting an established operator in the energy and industrial sector in Wolverhampton with an experienced Electrician to join its maintenance team. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults on LV systems and PLC/DCS equipment, and help with outages.

The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £39,000 to £43,900 and opportunities to develop your technical skill set.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience essential.
• Experience with LV systems, motors, control panels, PLC/DCS wiring.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use test equipment.
• Proactive, able to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Adherence to safe working practices and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections to maintain plant reliability.
• Diagnose, test and rectify faults across LV systems, motors, and PLC/DCS equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and outages, prioritising tasks by plant needs.
• Record maintenance activities, test results, and defects in site systems.
• Support site maintenance, contractor coordination, outages, parts management, and minor welding tasks.
