Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician for roles across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. The successful candidate will join a team delivering breakdown repair, preventative maintenance, and installation support within a heavy industrial setting.

You will operate motor control gear, switchgear, conveyors and PLCs, with strong fault-finding skills, a time-served apprenticeship, and BS 7671 17th/18th edition knowledge. UK-based travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in electrical trades.
• Experience in heavy industry.
• 2391 inspection and testing qualification or ability to undertake testing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure breakdowns are repaired efficiently.
• Deliver preventative maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Ensure safe motor maintenance and panel maintenance.
• Assist with the installation of electrical projects.
• Safely operate equipment from motor control and switch gear to conveyors and PLCs.
• Possess fault finding skills and be solution focused.

Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Our client is a supplier of granite & limestone aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, liquid screed as well as construction services such as road resurfacing & civil engineering, operating all over Wales.

They supply quarried materials, stone, concrete, ready-mix and tarmac from seven granite, limestone and sandstone quarries, three asphalt plants, eight concrete plants. We also deliver multimillion pound infrastructure projects and suppling the majority of the labour as well as the materials from our own resources. Our employees are skilled in road surfacing, paving and utilities works.

Reporting to the Head of the Electrical Department the successful candidate will:

• Ensure breakdowns are repaired efficiently
• Deliver preventative maintenance to avoid downtime
• Ensure safe motor maintenance and panel maintenance
• Assist with the installation of electrical projects
• Safely operate a variety of equipment from motor control and switch gear to conveyors and PLCs
• Possess excellent fault finding skills, be solution focused, flexible and motivated
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and safe standards of operations
• Hold a time-served apprenticeship
• Be computer literate
• Have experience and relevant qualifications to be able to work in heavy industry
• 2391 inspection and testing
• 17th/18th edition of BS 7671
