Job summary

Prime-Appointments is recruiting an Electrical Technician for a site in Ipswich, England. The role focuses on maintaining and servicing heavy industrial equipment, electrical installations, and panel systems within a well-established engineering environment.

The successful candidate will have an electrically biased engineering background, a relevant apprenticeship or City & Guilds, and knowledge of hydraulic systems; automotive or plant electrics experience is also valued.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an electrically biased engineering role.
  • Apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification advantageous.
  • Basic hydraulic knowledge beneficial.
  • Experience with panel building or plant maintenance desirable.
  • Background in automotive or plant electrics considered.

Responsibilities

  • Work with heavy industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain and service plant equipment, including FLTs and PAT testing.
  • Work on industrial electrical installations.
  • Assist with panel building and control systems where required.
  • Support maintenance and repair of overhead cranes.
  • Work with 24v DC control circuits and solenoid valves.
