Job summary

Altera Recruitment Group Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Technician for Stoke on Trent to maintain reliability and safety of electrical systems in a complex industrial plant. This hands-on role requires fault finding, preventative and reactive maintenance, and interpretation of technical drawings.

The successful candidate will work independently in a safety-critical environment, with opportunity to develop technical expertise and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Strong electrical fault finding capability on motors, control panels and associated equipment.
• Able to interpret electrical drawings and diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and electrical inspections across plant and equipment.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns with fault diagnosis and repairs to maximise plant availability.
• Diagnose faults within control panels, motor circuits, starters and related systems from drawings and docs.
• Install, replace and modify electrical cabling across industrial applications.
• Work with operations teams and contractors, supporting outages and maintenance projects.
