Job summary

Forth Ports' Port of Tilbury Grain Terminal is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment and engineering systems. You will fault-find on fixed plant, work in a collaborative team, and support a rotational shift pattern including weekends.

The role requires 2-3 years' maintenance experience, HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability on fixed plant and equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, automation, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Full UK Driving Licence and UK working rights.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, repairs, and condition monitoring across plant and equipment.
• Support efficient repairs and minimise downtime by understanding terminal plant.
• Carry out installations, improvements and modifications to plant and systems.
• Report damage or concerns to Engineering or Operations Managers.
• Work flexibly across workshops and operational areas following safety requirements.
