Job summary

Mane Contract Services seeks a skilled support electrician to assist qualified electricians with installation, maintenance and repair tasks in an industrial FMCG facility. You will work on production machinery, electrical containment systems and plant equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality workmanship and ongoing skills development.

Role involves reading basic electrical drawings, following instructions, and working 07:00am–17:00pm with compliance to site safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience supporting planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
Ability to assist with diagnosis and repair of faults on production machinery and electrical systems.
Familiarity with installation and maintenance of industrial electrical containment systems.
Ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Assist qualified electricians with PPM and reactive maintenance.
Support diagnosis and repair of faults on production machinery and packaging lines.
Assist with installation/maintenance of containment: tray, basket, trunking, conduit and cable ladder.
Assist with routing, glanding, terminating and identifying power and control cables under supervision.
Assist with installation/maintenance of distribution boards, control panels, motors and sensors.
Support electricians with equipment upgrades and new plant installation.
Assist with testing and inspection of electrical installations as directed.
Read and understand basic electrical drawings and schematics.
