Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician for an industrial FMCG manufacturing facility in North Tawton, UK. You will perform installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of plant electrical systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include conducting both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on production machinery, diagnosing faults, and working with MEWPs; IPAF 3a/3b certification is mandatory

Qualifications

• IPAF 3a/3b certification mandatory.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work at height with MEWP.

Job description

To carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair activities within an industrial FMCG manufacturing facility, ensuring that plant, production equipment and electrical systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently. The role requires a high standard of electrical workmanship, a strong safety culture, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will support both planned and reactive maintenance activities, helping to minimise equipment downtime and maintain continuity of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across the manufacturing facility.
• Diagnose, fault-find and repair electrical faults on production machinery, processing equipment, packaging lines and associated plant.
• Install, maintain and modify industrial electrical containment systems, including tray, basket, trunk

Due to the nature of the installation required, applicants MUST have a valid IPAF 3a 3b to be considered for this role. As a vast majority of this work will be carried out from a MEWP.

Working Hours: 07:30am - 17:30pm (10 hours paid)
