Oakwood Solicitors in Leeds is seeking an experienced Industrial Disease Paralegal or Fee Earner to join our team. You will manage a caseload of pre-litigation and litigated industrial disease claims, including NIHL, HAVS, RSI and respiratory conditions, and provide clear, professional support to clients.

The role demands independent caseload management, strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Formación

• Experience handling litigated industrial disease claims.
• Understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Experience with multi-track litigation.
• Ability to meet costs or billing targets.

Responsabilidades

• Managing caseload of pre-litigation and litigated industrial disease claims.
• Handling claims involving NIHL, HAVS, RSI and respiratory conditions.
• Assessing liability, causation and value of claims.
• Reviewing medical evidence, employment records and other relevant documentation.
• Drafting correspondence, witness statements and court documents.
• Conducting settlement negotiations.
• Complying with the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant court directions.
• Monitoring limitation dates and meeting deadlines.
• Keeping clients informed throughout the progress of their claim.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant case records.
• Working towards agreed performance and costs targets.
• Supporting wider Industrial Disease team when required.
