Job summary
Service Service in Cambridge is seeking an Industrial & Commercial Combustion Engineer to service, fault-find and commission burner equipment across diverse sectors. The role is field-based and requires a practical, customer-focused approach with on-site deployment.
You're expected to bring strong gas engineering and electrical fault-finding skills, hold the listed certificates, and have a full UK driving licence. A company vehicle is provided and on-call rotation follows training.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or commercial combustion engineering.
- Background in gas engineering, electrical systems and fault-finding.
- Experience with industrial burners, combustion equipment or control systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, fault-find and commission industrial and commercial combustion equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults across gas, oil, electrical and associated control systems.
- Work with combustion management controls, instrumentation and oxygen trim systems.
- Support systems involving gas, oil, waste-stream and combined-fuel firing.
- Carry out planned maintenance and reactive service visits at customer sites.
- Provide technical support to customers, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Participate in an on-call rota following completion of training.
