Job summary

Service Service is seeking Commercial Boiler Burner Engineers to deliver on-site service, maintenance and installation support across multiple sectors. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance of industrial burners and control systems in Cambridgeshire, Essex and surrounding areas.

Candidates should have a strong gas/combustion background, relevant certificates, a full UK licence, and a willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in service engineering in industrial/commercial environments.
• Strong gas engineering background with relevant qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with industrial burners, boilers, steam systems or combustion controls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, repair and commission industrial and commercial burner and combustion equipment.
• Diagnose faults across gas, oil and electrical systems.
• Work with combustion management controls, instrumentation and oxygen trim systems.
• Support customers across sectors including food, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, power and aggregates.
• Provide planned and reactive on-site engineering support.
• Participate in an on-call rota once fully trained.

Commercial Boiler Burner Engineers

Locations: Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, North-East London or North Kent

Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 depending on experience, rising to £60,800 per annum when fully qualified and on call

We are recruiting Commercial Boiler Burner Engineers to join a specialist engineering business providing service, maintenance and installation support to customers across a range of industrial and commercial sectors. We have roles available in numerous locations.

This field-based role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, installation and commissioning of industrial combustion equipment and associated control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, repair and commission industrial and commercial burner and combustion equipment.
• Diagnose faults across gas, oil and electrical systems.
• Work with combustion management controls, instrumentation and oxygen trim systems.
• Support customers across sectors including food, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, power and aggregates.
• Provide planned and reactive on-site engineering support.
• Participate in an on-call rota once fully trained.

About You

• Experience in a similar service engineering role within an industrial or commercial environment.
• A strong background in gas engineering, electrical systems or combustion equipment.
• Relevant commercial gas qualifications, including the following required certificates:

  • CORT1
  • ICPN1
  • TPCP1
  • TPCP1A
• Experience with industrial burners, boilers, steam systems or combustion controls would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Salary & Benefits

• Starting salary of £48,000 – £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Salary rising to £60,800 per annum once fully qualified, trained and participating in the on-call rota.

• 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
• On-call rota, currently approximately one week in ten following completion of training.
• Healthcare scheme available after six months' service.
