Qualifications

• Previous branch or sales manager experience in a technical or industrial environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Industrial Automation and Control industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering commercial growth.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day branch performance.
• Lead, motivate and develop internal and external sales teams.
• Drive revenue and growth targets for the branch.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and develop existing and new customer relationships.
• Monitor branch performance and implement improvements where required.
• Oversee warehouse and distribution activities to ensure an efficient and effective service.
• Manage customer service standards and ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
• Develop effective working relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities for closer collaboration.
• Oversee relevant branch finance activities and ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
• Monitor employee performance, providing regular feedback, coaching and support.
• Develop the capabilities of the branch team and encourage a positive, results-focused working environment.
• Implement wider business strategies at branch level.
• Analyse branch performance and use information effectively to support commercial decision-making.
• Ensure communication between sales, warehouse, distribution and other business functions remains effective.
• Adapt branch activities and commercial strategies in response to changing customer and market requirements.
